Payment Policy
How payments, refunds and payouts work on Kerjakan.
Last updated 20 October 2026
This policy explains how money moves on Kerjakan: how you pay, when the tasker is paid, and what happens if a job is cancelled or goes wrong. It sits alongside our Terms.
Who handles your payment
Jobs are paid for through Kerjakan before the work starts. All payments are handled by Billplz, an independent third-party payment provider. Billplz's own terms apply to its service.
How paying works
- All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). The price you agree with the tasker is the price you pay.
- You pay on a secure Billplz payment page. The payment methods available are shown at checkout. Your card or bank login details are entered with Billplz and your bank, never on Kerjakan's servers, and we never see or store them.
- The tasker is paid once the job is completed and settled.
- Kerjakan's service fee is deducted from the tasker's amount when the money is released, not added on top of your price.
Cancellations and refunds
- If a job is cancelled, the price is changed or there is a dispute, the payment is refunded, adjusted or released according to the cancellation rules and the outcome.
- Before you cancel, the app shows you what the cancellation will cost, if anything. For example, a cancellation after a tasker has been found or accepted may keep a small part of the price to cover their time and the search.
- If the tasker cancels, you are not charged for it. Your job is reopened to other taskers.
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. How long they take to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
If something goes wrong
- Tell us from the job straight away. While a dispute is open, the money is not released to the tasker.
- Our team reviews the conversation, the job details and what was agreed, then decides whether to release, adjust or refund the payment. Every time an administrator reads a conversation for this, it is logged.
- We are the introduction, the record and the referee. We do not insure the work itself, so agree the price and what "done" looks like before anyone starts, and keep it in the chat.
Paying outside Kerjakan
Do not ask for, or agree to, payment outside Kerjakan: not cash up front, not a bank transfer, not a link. Doing so removes your protection and may lead to suspension. For this reason phone numbers, e-mail addresses and account numbers are hidden from chat messages automatically.
For taskers
- You are paid to the bank account you add to your profile.
- You are paid after the job is completed and settled, less Kerjakan's service fee. The job shows the amounts.
- You are responsible for any tax that applies to your earnings.
